The Vision and Purpose of Grace Bible Baptist Church

Our vision at Grace Bible Baptist Church is that we manifest, in word and deed, to our community and world, a message of hope and love in our Savior, Jesus Christ and His power to dramatically change lives.

Our Philosophy is stated in the Great Commandment of Matthew 22:37-40.

    "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy  neighbor as thy self.  On these two commandments hang all the law and prophets."

Our Purpose is stated in the Great Commission of Matthew 28: 18-20.

     "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen"

Our Plan of action is the example of the disciples found in Acts 2:40-47.

1.  In Evangelism, believers presenting the gospel to unbelievers, asking them to repent and receive Christ as Lord and Savior.

2.  In Discipleship, one believer teaching and training another believer to walk in Christ's footsteps; to imitate Him; to follow His example, and heed His Word

(2 Peter 3:18).

3.  In Fellowship, an assembly where members relate to one another as true family members (Galatians 6:10; Ephesians 2:19; Hebrews 10:42).

4.  In Ministry, meeting another person's need through Christ.  It is the outward expression of our love (1 John 3:17; Philippians 4:16; Matthew 10:42).

5.  In Worship, entering into God's presence to magnify Him, to hear from Him, to be transformed by Him and to leave committed to Him.

Our Desired Product is the result achieved in the working out of our philosophy and plan in the power of the Holy Spirit, without Whom nothing lasting is possible, namely;

1.  Spiritual Growth.

2.  Numerical Growth.

3.  Ministry Growth.

4.  Mission Advancement.
