Behold I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me." - Revelation 3:20

The Bible gives us God's plan for salvation.  His plan is simple.

1.  God loves you and has a plan for your life.  "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16

2.  We are sinners.  We have chosen to disobey God in many ways.  "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." - Romans 3:23       Men have attempted to get to Heaven by doing good works, living moral lives, and being religious, but there is nothing that we can do on our own to get into Heaven.  "For by Grace are ye saved through Faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." - Ephesians 2:8-9

3.  Sin separates us from God.  "...Your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you..." - Isaiah 59:2 Because we are sinners, we are condemned to death.  "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23

4.  Jesus died on the Cross and paid for all our sins, bridging the gap that separates us from God.  God's love is greater than all our sin.  "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that , while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans 5:8

5.  You must PERSONALLY receive Christ as your Lord and Saviour.  If you believe that He died for "YOUr" sins and rose in victory over death, and ask Jesus Christ to take control of your life, you SHALL be saved.   "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." - Romans 10:9.  "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." - Romans 10:13

If you realize you are a sinner, repent, give your heart to God in prayer.  Just pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, I believe you died on the cross for my sins and were resurrected in victory over death.  Please forgive me of my sins and take control of my life.  I invite you to be my Lord and Saviour and I accept your gift of eternal salvation by faith.  Amen.

After you are saved, trust God's word, not your feelings.  God's promises never change.  Daily you need to: Pray - you speak to God, Read your Bible - God speaks to you, Witness - you speak to others about God.
